CaYPT 2026 Registration

Welcome to the 10th annual CaYPT 2026! It is a unique experience for students passionate about physics and is a great opportunity for them to further their knowledge in this phenomenal field. We are excited to announce our pilot program to include a limited number of international teams and jurors in the CaYPT with the aim of making CaYPT more diverse.

CaYPT Management System

We are continuing to use the CaYPT Management System (CaYPTMS). If you already have a CaYPTMS account, you do not need to make a new account. Simply log in and complete the registration process like previous years. If you are new to CaYPT, please follow the instructions below to make a new account.

Tournament Location

CaYPT 2026 will be entirely online via Zoom.

Tournament Date

Day 1: Jan 24, 2026

Day 2: Jan 31, 2026

All registered teams are expected to participate in both days of the competition

Registration Fee, Meals and Deadline

There is a registration fee of $415 CAD per team. This allows the CaYPT committee to provide juror compensation and covers the costs of maintaining the necessary information infrastructures. Note that interntaional teams are exempt from paying the registration fee but is subject to the team leader juror number requirements. See the 2026 Rules and Regulations for details.

The tentative deadline for registration is Jan 9, 2026 at 11:59 pm EST.

The registration fee can be paid through an e-transfer to info@stemfellowship.org. When sending the e-transfer, please make sure to specify the purpose (CaYPT 2026), your school and/or team name in the notes.

In addition, please email a proof of payment complete with the purpose, date and amount to caypt@stemfellowship.org.

Team Withdraw

If a registered team wishes to withdraw from the competition, the registration fee will be refunded in full before Jan 9, 2026 at 11:59 pm EST. After this time, there will be no refunds.

If a team fails to show up to the competition, all their members will lose eligibility to participate in the Canadian National Team Selection for IYPT 2026. If the team wishes to withdraw from CaYPT 2026, please email caypt@stemfellowship.org.
